Jiashutaihu Wetland Park

Jiashutaihu Wetland Park is a national wetland park.

Jiashutai Wetland is located 10.5 kilometers northeast of Shuangliao Breeding Sheep Farm in Liaohe Reclamation Area, covering a total area of 2,046.3 hectares. In earlier years, during flood season, Jiashutai was vast and misty, where sky and water merged into one. Flocks of migratory birds and waterfowl gathered here, while fish, shrimp, and frogs swam and sang joyfully. The surrounding areas were rich in water plants, with dense reeds and flocks of wild ducks, making it a popular destination for locals to enjoy spring outings.

The establishment of Jiashutai Wetland Park will restore the natural landscape of Jiashutai to the ecological environment of the 1950s and 1960s, when “the beauty of the sheep farm was truly intoxicating.” By then, people will be presented with a magnificent scene of interconnected rivers and lakes, crystal-clear waters under blue skies, lush water plants, thriving fishing and animal husbandry, and harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.
