Liaohe Palm is located in Liaoheyuan Town, Dongliao County, 45 kilometers from the city center. Legend has it that a earth dragon emerged from underground at Liaohe Palm, creating a cave filled with clear and sweet water. Locals refer to it as the dragon’s saliva, also known as Dragon Spring Water, which is the source of the Dongliao River. Tests have shown that the well water at the source contains various minerals, making it a high-quality natural mineral water resource.

Liaoheyuan Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Dongliao County. Established as Liao District in 1949, became a township in 1956, reorganized as a commune in 1958, restored as a township in 1983, and upgraded to a town in 1984. It is located in the southeastern part of the county, 32 kilometers from the county seat, covering an area of 218 square kilometers with a population of 27,000. The town government is based in Liaoheyuan. The town is accessible by road.
