Qingshangou is a national-level scenic area.

Qingshangou is a provincial-level scenic area located in the northern mountainous region of Kuandian, composed of three major scenic zones: "Qingshan Lake," "Feipu Gully," and "Hutang Gully." Covering an area of 127 square kilometers, the site features 126 scenic spots of varying sizes, including 36 waterfalls. Among the many tourist attractions, it stands out as one of the best.

The Qingshan Lake Scenic Area, having slumbered for hundreds of millions of years, is like a "fairy yet to bathe," hidden deep in the mountains and unknown to the world—until artists with extraordinary vision discovered her. Roads were built, bridges erected, villages established, and this “pearl” buried in the soil was unveiled to the public. She is the pride of Liaoning and the glory of the Northeast. In terms of art, the establishment of the Painters’ Village is also a source of national pride.

The emerald Hun River winds like two dragon beards around the strange peaks and rocks before slowly flowing into the Yalu River. There are 36 large and small waterfalls among the mountains, with the newly discovered "Feiyun Waterfall" boasting an 81-meter drop, the highest in the Northeast. The Small Heavenly Lake atop Bameiwei Mountain remains an unsolved mystery to this day. Adorning the 128-square-kilometer wonderland are more breathtaking and mystical sights.

The Feipu Gully Scenic Area features: Qingshan Waterfall, Fairy Pool, Water-Piercing Rock, Small Stone Path, Calming Water Rock, Jingyu Spring, General Ridge, and Yuanye Tomb.

The Hutang Gully Scenic Area includes: Echoing Stream, Black Bear Green Boulder, Twisting Heavenly Waters, Tiger Roar Waterfall, Immortal Maiden Waterfall, Black Dragon Spring, Tiger’s Back, and Tiger Cave.

In the Qingshan Lake Scenic Area, take a boat ride along the river to fully enjoy views of Lilac Cliff, Flower Fairy Platform, Fishing Platform, Wife-Watching Platform, White Cloud Peak, Ginseng King Peak, Twin-Breast Peak, Little Fairy Mountain, Millennium Pine Deity, Bronze Ancient Fortress, Peach Stone, Golden Bell Wall, Willow Flower Island, and the even more miraculous sight of summer ice formations.

The Immortal Valley Scenic Area is filled with traces of Taoist culture and is said to be a place where immortals once dwelled. It features Eight Immortals Platform, Immortals’ Gathering Platform, Five Dragons Spring, Three Chanting Springs, Deer Call Spring, Taoist Tomb, Immortal Stone, Monk Hat Stone, Half Peach Stone, Egg-Squeezing Stone, Willow-Embracing Stone, Lovers’ Pine, Divine Water Pavilion, and Mulan Slope. It also preserves well-preserved wartime trenches and camps used by Yang Jingyu in resisting the Japanese invasion.

The Qingshan Temple, restored with donations from Singaporean philanthropist Mr. Cai Jinzhong, held a grand consecration ceremony in the autumn of 1996. The Painters’ Village complex covers nearly 10,000 square meters and has the capacity to accommodate 180 guests for lodging.

The Qingshan Lake Scenic Area offers cruise boats, speedboats, and luxury dragon boats, which can carry up to 300 guests for lake tours, waterfall viewing, sightseeing, temple visits, Buddhist worship, fishing, and purchasing local mountain products. In winter, Qingshan Lake is covered in silvery white, offering a unique charm of northern China. Snow sleds glide across the lake, allowing visitors to watch ice yangko dances, listen to the pine waves echoing through the valley, savor delicacies from land and sea, and admire calligraphy and paintings by renowned artists—all providing a high-end experience at a low cost in the embrace of nature.
