Kuandian Yalu River Nature Reserve in Dandong
Introduction
The Kuandian Yalu River Basin Wetland Nature Reserve is situated in the southeastern part of Liaoning Province. It extends east to Ji'an City in Jilin Province, west to Dandong City, and faces the Democratic People's Republic of Korea across the river to the south. The middle and lower reaches of the Yalu River within the reserve cover a total length of 216.5 kilometers. Its geographical coordinates range from 124°21' to 125°3' east longitude and 41°10' north latitude. The reserve covers a total area of 75,590.4 hectares, including 54,925.3 hectares of forested land and 13,513.5 hectares of wetland.
