Huabojian is situated in the northern part of Niumaowu Town, Kuandian County, Dandong, in the eastern border region of Liaoning Province. It lies within the core forest area of the state-owned Quanshan Forest Farm. The main peak of Huabojian stands at an elevation of 1,336.1 meters, making it the highest peak in the province and known as the “Roof of Liaoning.” The towering Huabojian Peak soars into the sky, reaching the heavens, while the vast “Stone Lake” of over a thousand acres spreads out as far as the eye can see. The area is extremely rugged, formed by the uplift of the seafloor during the Quaternary volcanic activity, which thrust the ocean bed high into the sky to create this spectacular peak. The massive rocks here range from the size of oxen to that of houses, embedded with countless pebbles and seashells. Ancient pines and old vines burst forth from crevices in the rocks, having endured the test of time and displaying a myriad of shapes—some stand proudly against the wind, while others creep along the ground, exuding a powerful vitality.

By climbing over the Stone Lake, you enter a world of clouds and a sea of mountain flowers. Gazing into the distance, mist and clouds drift across the sky. The mountain breeze invigorates your spirit, and the exotic flowers and plants underfoot compete in a riot of colors, offering a refreshing and awe-inspiring experience.

The “Huabojian Peak” scenic zone provides the optimal experimental area for high-altitude exploration and scientific research in Northeast China, and offers the best vantage points for adventurous visitors to admire sea of clouds, sunrises, and sunsets.

Huabojian Scenic Area is renowned as the “Foremost Highland of Liaoning and the Waterfall Capital of the Northeast.” It features Huabojian, the undisputed Roof of Liaoning, with an elevation of 1,336.1 meters; Baipu Gorge, which boasts the Northeast’s premier canyon and forms the region’s first trapezoidal waterfall cluster; and Qiancang Valley, the unrivaled First Valley of Eastern Liaoning and one of the few remaining pristine ecological zones in the area.
