Shuifeng Lake Scenic Area is located in the middle and upper reaches of the Yalu River. The Shuifeng Reservoir is the largest freshwater lake in Northeast China, with a total water storage capacity of 12.2 billion cubic meters, serving as the core attraction of the Shuifeng Lake scenic area. The "Nine Heavens Milky Way" is a spectacular sight created when the floodgates of the Shuifeng Hydropower Station are opened. During the flood season from July to August each year, the massive waterfall plunges down with tremendous force, producing a sound that can be heard for miles, forming an extremely impressive man-made waterfall.

The Shuifeng Reservoir combines the majestic beauty of northern landscapes with the delicate elegance of southern water towns. The vegetation on both banks remains in its pristine state, earning it the reputation of the "West Lake of the Northeast."

Panlongyu in Shuifeng Lake Scenic Area is the largest canyon on the Yalu River, covering a water surface of over 1,800 hectares and known for its “nine islands and eighteen bays.” With sheer cliffs and towering peaks surrounded by water, the scenery is mystical and awe-inspiring. Boating on Shuifeng Lake, you’ll be greeted by vast, boundless waters, and along the way, you can catch distant views of North Korea’s Kim Il-sung summer retreat, North Korean women’s military camp, Songhe Island, and Jiangxin Island, offering a unique taste of exotic charm.
