Chengding Mountain Scenic Area is located in Xiaochengzi Village, Niamaowu Town, Kuandian Manchu Autonomous County, Dandong City. It enjoys convenient transportation, being 160 kilometers from Dandong and 4 kilometers from the Qing Shan Gou National Scenic Area.

Chengding Mountain features both breathtaking natural scenery and magnificent cultural landmarks, with over 30 scenic spots. The Eight Immortals Rock, Divine Display Peak, Homesickness Spring, Yellow Bird Rock, Thousand-Year-Old Elm, and Chestnut Divine Tree together form a paradise on earth. The Goguryeo mountain fortress at the top of the scenic area is built upon a plateau supported by cliffs spanning 1,515 meters in circumference, situated at an elevation of 710 meters and covering 84,000 square meters. The fortress is backed by rugged mountains and faces water, making it highly defensible due to its steep and strategic location. It was constructed following the natural undulations of the mountain. The surrounding walls were constructed using specially cut wedge-shaped stones (commonly referred to as ox-tail stones). The site has a dense distribution of ruins, with 38 features identified so far, including the west gate, water gate, general’s platform, wells, pools, sentry house sites, and other remains. A significant number of relics have been gathered from local traditions, such as arrowheads, horse saddles, stirrups, bowls, stone mortars, and beads. Experts have verified that these items carry profound historical and cultural significance.

Here, the natural beauty and cultural heritage of Chengding Mountain blend seamlessly, where the wonders of nature and historical legends coexist. For generations, Taoist practitioners have meditated here, earning the mountain a reputation as a “famous cultural and historical mountain.” The water amusement park is located 2 kilometers from the scenic area and integrates dining, accommodation, recreation, and leisure. Surrounded by green mountains and clear streams, the park offers pleasant natural views and a unique architectural style. It features various types of accommodations, including detached villas, connected villas, standard rooms, traditional farmhouse courtyards, and regular rooms. The restaurant can accommodate 300 guests simultaneously across two floors, serving a range of local farmhouse dishes, Korean-style meals, and various stews, stir-fries, and cold dishes.
