Itinerary Overview
D1–D3: Istanbul → D4–D5: Cappadocia → D6: Pamukkale → D7: Ephesus → D8: Izmir or return to Istanbul for departure. Inter-city travel is mainly by domestic flights; between Cappadocia and Pamukkale, you can take an overnight bus or a short internal flight. Ephesus is located in the suburbs of Izmir.
D1–D3: Istanbul – Imperial Capital
- D1: Arrival → Sultanahmet Square → Hagia Sophia → Blue Mosque → Watch the sunset and fishermen on the Galata Bridge in the evening.
- D2: Topkapi Palace and Harem → Basilica Cistern → Shopping at the Grand Bazaar → Evening Whirling Dervish show.

D6: Pamukkale – White Travertine Terraces
Arrive by flight to Denizli or by long-distance bus. Walk barefoot on the white calcium terraces, avoiding closed-off areas. Later, visit the ancient city ruins of Hierapolis and Roman baths on the hilltop, then check into a nearby thermal hotel in the evening.
D7–D8: Ephesus & Izmir
Head to Selçuk to explore the Library of Celsus, Great Theatre, and marble streets of the ancient city of Ephesus. Also visit the Temple of Artemis ruins and the House of the Virgin Mary. In the evening, stroll along Izmir’s seaside promenade. Depart the next day via Izmir Airport.

- Hot air balloon rides in Cappadocia are highly weather-dependent, so plan flexible buffer days.
- Turkey’s domestic flights are frequent and affordable. Overnight buses are less comfortable but can save you a night’s accommodation.
- Ephesus can be very hot in summer — go early and bring plenty of water.
