In this bullfighting nation of Spain, there are about 300 large and small bullrings, among which the oldest is the Seville Bullring.

The Seville Bullring is one of the most delightful tourist attractions in the ancient city of Seville and also one of the most visited. It is renowned for its long history. Construction of this oldest bullring began in 1749, replacing the original rectangular arena with a circular one. The facade inside the ring was completed in 1765 and consists of two parts: the entrance gate, where successful matadors exit, and the theater boxes reserved exclusively for the Spanish royal family. The uppermost section features four arches topped by a semi-orange arch, adorned at the very top with white and blue tiles. As a stage for bullfighting, it is considered one of the most challenging environments in the world due to its long history, distinctive characteristics, and the fact that its audience is regarded as some of the most unforgiving bullfighting fans.

The Seville Bullring is the venue for Seville’s annual “Feria de Abril,” one of the most famous bullfighting festivals in the world. During this festival, bullfighting enthusiasts flock from all over to watch thrilling and ruthless bullfights.
