The Seville Museum of Fine Arts is the largest museum dedicated to Spanish art, with its collection of visual art mainly originating from bankrupt monasteries and churches, predominantly featuring works from the 19th and 20th centuries. The collection emphasizes pieces by artists of the Seville School such as Murillo and Zurbarán, and also includes works from the so-called Golden Age of Sevillian painting in the 17th century. In addition to outstanding paintings, the museum also displays exquisite ceramics, gold and silverware, and weapons.
