Bruz is a commune in the Ille-et-Vilaine department of the Brittany region in northwestern France, located near the Vilaine River and about 14 kilometers from Rennes. It is a young and vibrant city in the region, attracting many visitors with its beautiful natural scenery, hospitable culture, and attractive campuses.

The old castle, former farms, expansive and beautiful estates, mills, Saint Martin’s Church, and the old town hall built in 1950 are among Bruz’s most famous historical landmarks. Saint Martin’s Church was constructed on the site of a 16th-century church that was bombed during World War II, making it an important heritage site of the 20th century. A bridge dating back to the Gallo-Roman period, beautiful valleys and parks, dense forests, and quaint rural villages are perfect for outdoor activities such as walking, hiking, cycling, and horseback riding. The weekly Friday market, the flea market in May, and cultural events including exhibitions, concerts, and music festivals are also not to be missed.
