Davy House was built in 1881 by George Stiebel, the first Black billionaire in the Caribbean, and is located in Kingston, the capital of Jamaica. With a history of 130 years, Davy House spans 11 hectares and was once the luxurious residence of a billionaire. It is now a food court and shopping center.

At Davy House, you can enjoy some of the city’s best ice cream, pastry crusts, fine wines, and gourmet dishes, shop for local specialties and handmade crafts, and admire historic coffee shops whose unique styles attract many visitors. Davy House is built in the Jamaican-Georgian architectural style, and its classical white buildings still exude a sense of past grandeur, showcasing very neat and symmetrical lines. In September 1990, Davy House was designated as a national memorial site by the Jamaica National Heritage Trust (JNHT), housing a rich and diverse collection of antiques from Jamaica, the Caribbean, Britain, and France, as well as Jamaican replicas.
