Tuktut Nogait National Park

Tuktut Nogait National Park is located in the northwestern part of Canada’s Northwest Territories. Its Inuvialuit name means “young caribou.” Established in 1996, the park lies just 170 kilometers from the Arctic Circle and spans 18,000 square kilometers, serving as a habitat for caribou.

This national park near the Arctic Circle is shrouded in mystery, featuring vast ice fields, rushing rivers, deep canyons, and unique flora and fauna. Every visitor is captivated by its expansive wilderness. It is a hidden gem of Canada, shining brilliantly and inspiring awe and wonder. The most commonly spotted animals here are herds of caribou, totaling 85,000. In addition to caribou, visitors may also see wolves, muskoxen, grizzly bears, red foxes, wolverines, Arctic ground squirrels, and collared lemmings.
