Mount Field National Park is located in the northwest of Hobart, Tasmania, approximately 64 kilometers from Hobart. Established in 1916, the park covers an area of 162 square kilometers and is the oldest national park in Tasmania.

The park boasts a variety of landscapes, ranging from eucalyptus temperate rainforests to alpine bogs, all spectacular and picturesque. While exploring the park, visitors can admire cascading waterfalls, murmuring streams, emerald lakes, deep valleys, lush trees, fragrant flowers, singing birds, and elusive wildlife. Highlights within the park include Russell Falls, Horseshoe Falls, Lady Barron Falls, and Mount Field itself. The park is also home to many native Tasmanian animals, such as wombats, platypuses, eastern barred bandicoots, and Tasmanian devils.
