The Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens is located in Hobart and was established in 1818. Covering an area of 14 hectares, it boasts a long history of plant cultivation and is one of Australia’s most outstanding botanical gardens. Many of the lush trees here are over a hundred years old, some even dating back to the 19th century, and many of the plants are rare species, making them extremely precious.

Its Subantarctic Plant House is the only one of its kind in the world, making the plants inside particularly fascinating.
