Kings Park
IntroductionPerth’s Kings Park is situated to the west of the city center, covering 1,000 acres, and is the largest urban park in the Southern Hemisphere. The park was established in 1890 as a gift to the then British King Edward VII and was named Kings Park. It is home to more than 6,000 species of plants, including 3,000 types of native Western Australian wildflowers, such as the state flower, the Kangaroo Paw.
