Taronga Zoo is an urban park in Sydney, located near Sydney Harbour, covering an area of 21 hectares. It officially opened in 1916. When visiting Sydney, Taronga Zoo is a must-see attraction that offers visitors a truly wild and natural experience.

Taronga Zoo is a haven for more than 2,600 animals, including koalas, kangaroos, wombats, Przewalski's horses, ring-tailed lemurs, Asian elephants, African lions, African wild dogs, alpacas, alligators, American bison, American cockroaches, vultures, Apostlebirds, Arabian dromedaries, and Arafura file snakes. Of course, there are also Australia’s iconic koalas and the adorable tree-dwelling marsupials. Taronga Zoo was the first park in Australia where a baby elephant was born, and in 2003, it became the second park in Australia to successfully breed platypuses.

Every day at Taronga Zoo, various adorable animal shows are held at different times, such as bird shows and seal shows, which delight visitors. In addition, there are special animal encounter sessions where guests can get up close to observe the animals’ living environments and behaviors.
