Located in the center of Sydney Harbour, this historic site has stood for over 150 years, surrounded by crystal-clear blue waters. Fort Denison is an ancient castle that combines entertainment, relaxation, and celebration. Originally used to incarcerate prisoners, it later served as an artillery battery, tidal station, and weather station. Today, Fort Denison is one of the best places to photograph the harbour and horizon. It functions as a tourist attraction and museum, as well as a venue for weddings and corporate events. Remnants of its defensive past remain, including original gun batteries and cannons. Visitors can dine in the castle’s restaurant, stroll along the fortifications while admiring the stunning views of Sydney Harbour, or explore the museum to learn about Fort Denison’s development from the colonial era to the present day.

Fort Denison is open from 12:15 PM to 2:30 PM on Mondays and Tuesdays, and from 10:45 AM to 2:30 PM from Wednesdays to Sundays.
