Randwick Racecourse is located in the eastern suburbs of Sydney, Australia, approximately 6 kilometers from the Sydney central business district, in the suburb of Randwick. Managed and operated by the Australian Turf Club, this racecourse is a gathering place for many Sydney horse racing enthusiasts and is considered one of the best racecourses in Australia and even the world.

For over 150 years, the magnificent Randwick Racecourse has been the premier venue for thoroughbred horse racing in Sydney, often hosting top-tier events regarded as the “sport of kings.” The history of the racecourse dates back to 1833 when it was originally known as the “Sydney Racecourse.” In 1838, it moved to Homebush; after the establishment of the Australian Turf Club here in 1842, it returned to this location in 1860. In 1992, Queen Elizabeth II granted it the status of Royal Randwick Racecourse.

Randwick Racecourse is expansive, surrounded by a series of historic and traditional buildings alongside modern high-end restaurants and bars, offering excellent views. Covering an area of 202 acres, the racecourse consists of eight tracks and can accommodate up to 600 horses. Among them, the Kensington Track, with a circumference of 2,100 meters, is often used for races, training, and walks and is the second-largest track in Sydney. The sand tracks are mainly used for training, while the Collingwood Track and the Grade B grass track are typically used for trial races.
