Penrith Printing Museum

The Penrith Printing Museum is located in Penrith, in the western suburbs of Sydney, Australia. Established in 2001 by Alan Connell, it is a non-profit museum dedicated to telling the history of the printing industry and collecting printing equipment.

The Penrith Printing Museum showcases the development history of the printing industry and its equipment. Here, you can see Heidelberg platens and antique equipment from the Western Printing House, and experience how letterpress printing has driven the industry for centuries. The museum displays 23 still-functioning machines and devices, some of which are over 100 years old and still capable of printing. The collection includes a Linotype machine made in New York, a Douglas bandsaw, proof presses, typecasters, printing presses, ink rollers, furnaces, and more. Visitors can even try their hand at printing.
