Originally owned by fishermen, the Duckling is a classic Chinese-style sailboat that was once used by local fishermen for sea expeditions. About 150 years ago, these sailboats dominated the waters of Hong Kong. Now, visitors can board the Duckling to reminisce about the legendary days when foreign firms and merchants thrived in the city, evoking a sense of nostalgia. Travel Tips: This activity is only open to non-permanent residents of Hong Kong. Visitors must register and board with their original permit or passport (if registering on behalf of someone else, a copy of the relevant person’s permit or passport is required). Registration and boarding must be done in person at the Star Ferry pier in Tsim Sha Tsui or at the office located at Exit F of Causeway Bay MTR Station. Registration is available daily from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. The service is suspended every March for maintenance. Transportation

1. Take Exit E of Tsim Sha Tsui Station on the Tsuen Wan Line or Exit K of Tsim Tung Station on the East Rail Line, and walk to the Kowloon Star Ferry Pier. 2. Take Exit A2 of Hong Kong Station, then walk for 10 minutes along the covered pedestrian walkway on Man Yiu Street towards the waterfront to reach the Central Pier No. 9.
