Tsim Sha Tsui

Located at the southern tip of Kowloon, along the shores of Victoria Harbour. The area is densely packed with shops, shopping malls, restaurants, and office buildings, bustling with activity at all hours, teeming with both locals and tourists. It is also a hub for high-end hotels.

Nathan Road is the main street that runs through Tsim Sha Tsui, and the surrounding streets are filled with shops. Hong Kong Cultural Centre, Hong Kong Space Museum, and Hong Kong Museum of Art are all located in Tsim Sha Tsui. The Space Museum is a large-scale, modern space science museum. Its exterior features a uniquely styled large circular building. Inside, there are facilities such as the Sun Hall, Exhibition Hall, and Planetarium, housing various charts, models, and precision instruments, as well as automated closed-circuit television broadcasts and films that introduce visitors to the formation of celestial bodies, Earth’s history, human origins, global climates, ancient astronomers, and even modern satellites and manned spacecraft. Visitors can observe the breathtaking sights of solar and lunar eclipses through various displays; they can also walk through the Space Tunnel and see model spaceships in motion, as well as astronauts floating in weightlessness. The entire planetarium feels like a cosmic body, making visitors feel as though they are strolling through space.

From here, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Victoria Harbour, which is another classic postcard-worthy scene in Hong Kong. On the Tsim Sha Tsui side stands the Clock Tower, and the Hong Kong Cultural Centre (a favorite venue for young couples in Hong Kong to register their marriages—weekends often see many newlyweds taking photos here, with their simple yet elegant wedding dresses and understated bridal bouquets always catching the eye of visitors).

Tsim Sha Tsui’s Star Ferry Pier, where the Star Ferry shuttles between Central and Tsim Sha Tsui, serves as an important cross-harbour transport option. It is one of the world’s most famous and shortest ferry routes. Riding the green-and-white ferry across the harbour takes just eight minutes, allowing passengers to take in the beautiful scenery along both sides of the harbour.
