The Ladies' Market refers to the southern section of Tung Choi Street in Mong Kok (between Argyle Street and Dundas Street), which is famous for selling affordable women's clothing and accessories, hence the colloquial name "Ladies' Market."

Starting at 11 a.m. every day, vendors begin to set up shop along the street, erecting iron frames and hanging their goods, instantly bringing the area to life. After noon, over 200 open-air stalls line both sides of the Ladies' Market, with most of the items being inexpensive, including some knock-offs and lower-quality goods. The variety of women's products sold by the vendors is incredibly diverse—trendy fashion, handbags, stylish accessories, shoes and hats, sleepwear and underwear, bikinis, wigs, and more—colorful and all-encompassing. At night, the market becomes even livelier, with colorful goods displayed along both sides of the street. If you see something you like, don’t hesitate to bargain with the vendor. Due to the high foot traffic, be cautious of pickpockets and scammers selling counterfeit goods at inflated prices.

In the 1990s, the Ladies' Market was at its peak, and mainland tourists listed "visiting the Ladies' Market" as a must-do activity during their trips to Hong Kong, often returning with bags full of purchases. However, as China's reform and opening-up deepened, the market’s advantages in price and quality gradually diminished, reducing its appeal to mainland visitors. Nevertheless, it still attracts many tourists, especially Western visitors who enjoy shopping here.

The Ladies' Market is most famous for its legal stalls located in the center of the street. Vendors typically set up blue-and-white canvas canopies using metal frames and display a wide range of goods on their carts. Stall after stall stretches across the entire length of the street, creating an impressive sight. These vendors still primarily target female customers, offering mostly affordable clothing, accessories, and household items, all of good value. There are also souvenirs aimed at tourists, such as T-shirts and imitation antiques. Most of the goods sold here are budget-friendly and come in a wide variety, including trendy clothing, eyewear, watches, toys, leather goods, jewelry, electronics, lighting, telescopes, as well as jade items, purple clay teapots, handicrafts, coins, antiques, celebrity posters, and other small commodities.
