Tsim Sha Tsui Clock Tower

The official name of the Tsim Sha Tsui Clock Tower is the "Former Kowloon-Canton Railway Clock Tower." Located by the waterfront in Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong, it is part of the former Kowloon-Canton Railway Station. The clock tower was built in 1915 and has been designated as a declared monument of Hong Kong. Standing 44 meters tall, the tower is constructed from red bricks and granite, with a 7-meter-long lightning rod on top.

Today, the clock tower is embraced by the square in front of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre and has become an iconic landmark of Hong Kong. After the clock tower ceased operations in 1975, the clock was removed. On September 17, 2010, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the opening of the Kowloon–Lo Wu section of the Kowloon-Canton Railway, MTR reinstated the 90-year-old bronze bell back onto the tower. The interior of the clock tower was open to the public from September 2, 2001, to December 2003, but due to low visitor numbers, it has not been open to the public in recent years.
