Mengzi Grand Canyon

Mengzi Grand Canyon is located between Riva and Mengzi, stretching 13 kilometers in length. The canyon features steep and majestic cliffs on both sides, with clouds and winds swirling through the valley. The river at the bottom roars with tremendous force. The opposing cliffs form a myriad of animal-like shapes, and the rich mythology and folk legends bring them to life, sparking endless imagination. "Rongrong Mountain" (the local earth god of Wage Village, said to be a deity dressed in white and riding a white steed) stands straight as if piercing the clouds, like a towering pillar of strength and majesty. The smooth yet precipitous cliffs on either side further accentuate its grandeur, while the vertical rock face opposite is adorned with numerous natural stone monkeys, each uniquely shaped and strikingly lifelike.
