Beijing Temple

Beijing Temple is a cultural relic protection unit of Sichuan Province.

Beijing Temple is located in Baoshan Township, Gong County. Originally built during the Ming Dynasty, it consists of the main hall and the central hall, covering an area of 1,224 m² with a total height of 9.6 m. The structure is made of brick and wood, featuring a flush gable roof with a through-tenon style, three penetrations and four pillars. On the ridge beam is carved the motif "Two Dragons Seizing the Pearl." The murals on the temple walls are traditional meticulous paintings, characterized by vivid colors and neat, fluid brushwork. They depict various deities as well as the “Guan Yu in Peach Robe” painting. In front of the hall are six stone inscriptions recording details of the temple’s properties. The temple also houses a large iron bell and an iron chime.

In 1983, Beijing Temple was designated as a county-level cultural relic protection unit.

Protected area: 8 meters beyond the eastern wing room, 20 meters beyond the southern courtyard, 5 meters beyond the western wing room, and 15 meters beyond the northern main hall.

Construction control zone: 50 meters beyond the protected area.
