Luobiao Town: [Historical Background]

In ancient times, Luobiao neighbored multiple prefectures with frequent territorial changes and unclear jurisdiction. The name “Luobiao” first appeared during the Hongwu era of the Ming Dynasty and was under the administration of Xunan Guard. In the eighth year of the Tian Shun era of Emperor Yingzong of Ming (1464), Luobiao belonged to Anxiang Township. In the tenth year of the Qianlong era, Magistrate Zhu Shengyuan renamed Anxiang Township to Chongli Township, commonly referred to as “Chongli Township, Gongxian County, Xuzhou Prefecture, Xi’nan Dao, Sichuan Province.” It was divided into four tuan and eight jia, a system that continued until the early years of the Republic of China.
