Wangjia Sili Slope Primitive Forest - Davidia Involucrata Garden is located at the foot of the Daxue Mountain Range on the Sichuan-Yunnan border — in Wangjia Town, Gong County, which lies at the southernmost part of Gong County, 99 kilometers from the county seat. The area includes the Sili Slope Primitive Forest Park, the Wuchi Ancient Road, and tens of thousands of Davidia involucrata trees. The Sili Slope Primitive Forest Park spans 15,000 mu and is a provincial-level nature and ecological park. It is also the largest, highest-altitude, and best-preserved primitive forest area in Gong County. The Wuchi Ancient Road is the most intact preserved section within Gong County, with approximately 25 kilometers of the road still existing today. It winds through towering mountains and steep ridges, paved with bluestone slabs or stone blocks, varying in width from about 1 to 1.5 meters. To this day, horse hoof prints and axle-pin holes can still be found on the stone slabs. Along the route, numerous well-preserved historical relics can be seen, including ancient streets, traditional dwellings, old inns, and historic stone bridges. Gong County is named after the Davidia involucrata tree, a relict plant from the Tertiary period of the Cenozoic era, 10 million years ago, often referred to as a “living fossil of plants.” When the Davidia flowers bloom, they resemble “white doves” ready to take flight, offering a sense of purity, elegance, and beauty.

Transportation: 1. By car: Starting from Xunchang Town, take the Yiwu Highway via the Yuhé Barrier Archway to Luobiao Town in Gong County, then continue to Wangjia Town. From there, enter the scenic area directly. 2. Alternatively, take a direct bus from Xunchang Bus Station to Wangjia Town in Gong County, then hike or transfer to other vehicles to reach the attraction.
