Baishi Qiang Village is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Baishi Qiang Village is located to the northwest of Fengyi Town in Mao County, 171 kilometers south of Chengdu and 200 kilometers north of Jiuzhaigou County. It lies adjacent to Mao County’s urban area and is an important attraction along the Jiuhuan Tourist Route, representing a typical Qiang ethnic settlement. The village boasts a prime location with a well-developed local cuisine scene, notably including the renowned Shancaiwang Specialty Restaurant. The area features extensive farmland cultivation, abundant produce, and is backed by rolling mountains with plentiful spring water sources. In front lies the Min River, offering wide-open views.

From a distance, the Qiang village presents a striking sight: tiers of yellow-brown stone houses climbing up the steep mountain slopes, uneven yet harmoniously arranged. Watchtowers stand densely throughout, exuding a formidable presence. The mountain-built settlement, when viewed from afar, shows overlapping layers of open living spaces and sun-drying terraces closely connected to one another, creating a richly textured visual landscape.

Fengyi Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Mao County and the county seat. Established in 1636, Fengyi Town underwent five changes since 1953, was restored in 1976, and had Qianfeng Township merged into it by 1985. Located in the southeastern part of the county, it covers an area of 129.7 square kilometers with a population of 23,000. National Highway 213, as well as the Mao (County)–Hei (Shui) and Mao (County)–Bei (Chuan) roads, pass through the town. It administers 12 village committees—Jingzhou, Pingtou, Qianjin, Nanqiao, Shuixi, Shuncheng, Nanzhuang, Longdonggou, Yuxiang, Huilongshan, Ganning, and the Horticulture Farm—as well as two residential committees: Neinan Street and Wainan Street.
