Longqiao Cultural Ecological Park in Luxian County

Longqiao Cultural Ecological Park in Luxian County is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

Longqiao Cultural Ecological Park in Luxian County is located within the provincial-level Longnao New Rural Demonstration Area, on the outskirts of the county town. It is planned around the nationally key cultural relic protection unit “Longnao Bridge,” covering an area of 21.3 square kilometers with a total investment of 1.5 billion yuan. The park forms a scenic loop along the Jiuchuan River, using Xiaomatian Village, Longhua Village, and – Village as pivotal points, and is dedicated to creating a top-tier rural tourism-based new rural complex in Sichuan’s southern region and leading the province. This complex integrates leisure, sightseeing, entertainment, shopping, and cultural exhibitions, showcasing the stunning concept of “a colorful riverside with graceful bends, a ring connecting like a string of pearls, three axes converging at the heart leading to seven zones, and a pastoral landscape of Dragon Township like a painting.” In 2013, it was successfully recognized as a “China Beautiful Countryside” and a “National Demonstration Site for Leisure Agriculture and Rural Tourism.” Currently, it is actively applying for national AAAA-level tourist attraction status.

Longyin Waterfront Square

Longyin Waterfront Square is situated at the southern entrance of the entire park, adjacent to National Highway 321, about 2 kilometers from the urban area of Luxian County, covering nearly 100 acres. It features structures such as the Nine Dragons Stone Archway, waterside docks, an archway square, a walking path along the Jiuchuan River, green lawns, and landscape pavilions (walls), offering visitors a place for short breaks upon entering the scenic area and relieving travel fatigue.

Bicycle Sightseeing and Cycling Trail

The Bicycle Sightseeing and Cycling Trail is located next to the reception center within the scenic area, approximately 6 meters wide and 4.7 kilometers long (it will later be extended to 7 kilometers to form a cycling loop). It uses a bright red colored medium-grained asphalt concrete pavement. The entire cycling trail runs along the Jiuchuan River and passes through several main attractions of the park, including the Stone Carving Culture Corridor, Flower Garden, Modern Agriculture Exhibition Center, Lotus Garden, and Fruit Picking Garden. Currently, services such as electric cart and bicycle rentals are available.

Longnao Bridge

Longnao Bridge is located on the Jiuchuan River, 4 kilometers north of Fuxi in Luxian County, situated along the ancient post road from Luzhou to Longchang. It was listed in 1996 by the State Council as part of the fourth group of nationally key cultural relic protection units and is the largest dragon-carved stone slab beam bridge in China.

Longqiao Art Gallery

Longqiao Art Gallery is situated to the east of Longnao Bridge, with its layout resembling a giant dragon head in plan view, forming a complete dragon culture park. The site includes attractions such as the Nine Dragons Pillar Square, the Qianlong Imperial Edict Stele, the Four Sea Dragon Kings, the Dragon Gate, the Nine Dragons Bathing the Prince, and cliff inscriptions.

Jiuchuan Lotus Breeze

Jiuchuan Lotus Breeze is located in the central-western part of Longqiao Cultural Ecological Park, covering a total area of 500 acres with over 40 varieties and more than 200,000 lotus plants. The blooming season lasts from the end of April to early October each year, with flowers opening in succession, displaying diverse postures and vibrant colors. It has become the largest and most diverse lotus viewing base in Sichuan. The central landscape of Jiuchuan Lotus Breeze centers around the scenic spot “Moonlight over the Lotus Pond,” featuring a riverside hedge corridor, lotus viewing paths, a tea bar, a lotus garden viewing platform, artistic lotus displays, and a relief wall depicting the Twenty-Four Solar Terms.

Grape Garden Autumn Harvest

Adjacent to Jiuchuan Lotus Breeze, Grape Garden Autumn Harvest covers about 100 acres and has been open to visitors since 2013 with over 40 varieties of high-tech grapes. From mid-June to December, grapes ripen successively, available for tourists to taste and purchase.

Skillful Fruit Picking

Skillful Fruit Picking is located opposite the Chinese-style Wedding Plaza and Huahua Vision River, spanning over 1,000 acres. It mainly offers fruits such as blueberries, strawberries, and mulberries for visitors to pick and buy, making it an ideal gift for family and friends.

Huahua Vision

Huahua Vision is located in the western part of Longqiao Cultural Ecological Park. The park features boat canals, a small train, a Western-style wedding plaza, an artificial lake and water bodies, a botanical maze, lawns, multiple colorful flower gates, windmills, and other leisure facilities such as Western-style buildings. Dozens of flower varieties such as sunflowers, lavender, and cosmos bloom in succession throughout the seasons, creating a magnificent landscape of a seven-colored sea of flowers.

Countryside under the Moon

Countryside under the Moon is located in the northeastern part of Longqiao Cultural Ecological Park, backed by the Jiuchuan River and adjacent to Longnao Bridge, forming a triangular layout with Huahua Vision and Skillful Fruit Picking. The most prominent structures include a 3,000-square-meter intelligent glass solar-powered seedling greenhouse, a 4,000-square-meter multi-span production greenhouse, and a 7,744-square-meter glass solar-powered exhibition greenhouse. Supporting facilities include a Flower Avenue, sightseeing corridors, a Chinese-style Wedding Plaza, an ecological parking lot, a waterside walkway, a boardwalk, a dock, a tea bar, a suspension bridge, and recreational facilities such as the Happy Challenge amusement rides. The glass exhibition greenhouse houses centrally planted tropical and desert plants, displays various soilless cultivation methods including wheeled, wall-mounted, triangular, and hanging types, and features displays such as tomato trees, pepper trees, eggplant trees, and giant pumpkins. The ecological restaurant is located to the left of the glass solar-powered exhibition greenhouse in the display center, occupying about one-third of the greenhouse’s area. It consists of the Luxury Royal Mansion, Jiangnan Mansion, Thatched Cottage, Stilted Building, booth seating, and a public dining hall, with a capacity to accommodate nearly 100 tables at once.
