Heshangshan High Bridge

Heshangshan High Bridge is a Sichuan Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

Heshangshan High Bridge, built during the Qing Dynasty, is a four-pier, five-span stone flat-beam bridge. It spans the Maxi River in a northeast-southwest direction. The bridge is 23.12 meters long and 1.36 meters wide. On the southeastern side of the top of the four piers, from northeast to southwest, are round sculptures of auspicious beasts—a lion, a dragon, an elephant, and another dragon. The carvings feature smooth lines, vivid imagery, and exquisite craftsmanship. The bridge reflects the conditions of bridge construction and carving art at the time, and holds significant historical, scientific, and artistic value. In June 2007, it was designated as part of the seventh batch of Provincial-level Cultural Relics Protection Units by the Sichuan Provincial People's Government.
