Liyuan Bridge

Liyuan Bridge is a cultural relic protection unit of Sichuan Province.

Liyuan Bridge, built during the Qing Dynasty, is a 5-pier, 6-span stone slab-beam bridge oriented from southeast to northwest. It is 11.95 meters long, 1.14 meters wide, and the slabs are 0.32 meters thick. Each of the two central piers has a round relief carving of a dragon. The northeast end of the pier is adorned with the dragon’s head, and the southwest end with its tail. The dragon head features an elongated snout and arched mouth, with teeth bared. The dragon tail is rendered in low relief, appearing as a flat disc. In June 2007, the People's Government of Sichuan Province designated it as part of the seventh batch of Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Units.
