Lu County Sanyuan Bridge

Lu County Sanyuan Bridge is a cultural relic protection unit of Sichuan Province.

Sanyuan Bridge, built during the Ming Dynasty, is a 6-pier, 7-span stone flat-beam bridge that runs from east to west. The bridge is 11 meters long, 1 meter wide, 2.4 meters high, and its deck is 0.3 meters thick. Each of the two central piers features a round-carved dragon: the dragon head is 0.5 meters long and the tail is also 0.5 meters long. The dragon heads have open mouths showing their teeth, with flowing whiskers. The dragon tails are respectively curled upwards and coiled around. Two of the central bridge planks were once washed away by floods and later artificially elevated. In June 2007, it was designated as part of the seventh batch of Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Units by the People's Government of Sichuan Province.
