Wenchang Palace Longevity Bridge

Wenchang Palace Longevity Bridge is a cultural relic protection unit of Luxian County.

Wenchang Palace Longevity Bridge, built during the Qing Dynasty, is a stone flat-beam bridge with four piers and five spans, oriented from northeast to southwest. The bridge is 14.4 meters long and 1.68 meters wide. Each of the two central piers features a round-carved dragon, with the dragon’s body in an “S” shape, hugging the pier from the base upward and appearing to soar skyward. About 40 meters south of the bridge stands a commemorative stele for the bridge’s construction. The stele is 2.00 meters high, 0.78 meters wide, and 0.25 meters thick, but due to weathering, the inscriptions have eroded and are no longer legible. This bridge, with its exquisite carvings and unique design, is one of the typical representatives of Luxian County’s dragon bridges. In October 2005, it was designated as part of the fifth batch of county-level cultural relic protection units by the Luxian County People's Government.
