Mother-Son Bridge

The Mother-Son Bridge is a cultural relic protection unit of Luzhou City.

The Mother-Son Bridge, built during the Qing Dynasty, is a three-pier, four-span stone flat-beam bridge oriented from northwest to southeast. It measures 10.5 meters in length, 1.64 meters in width, and 2.33 meters in height, with bridge planks that are 0.4 meters thick. The bridge foundation lies on a stone-bedded stream. The second and third stone piers from the northwest to the southeast each feature a fully sculpted dragon with prominent dragon heads. This bridge has no abutments, and the bridge planks at both ends rest directly on the stone beaches along the stream banks. In March 2006, it was designated as part of the seventh batch of municipal-level cultural relic protection units by the Luzhou Municipal People's Government.
