The hometown of Korea’s “Queen of Puzhou” Heo Hwang-ok is located in Ruiyun Township, Anyue County, Ziyang City, Sichuan Province. Heo Hwang-ok was born in 32 AD in Xujia Dam, Ruiyun Township, Anyue County. In 48 AD, she married King Suro, the founding monarch of the ancient Gaya Kingdom on the Korean Peninsula. She passed away in 189 AD at the age of 157 and was posthumously honored as the "Queen of Puzhou." The hometown of Korea’s “Queen of Puzhou” Heo Hwang-ok features architecture in an ancient style and is divided into a worship area and a leisure area. Ancestral worship ceremonies for the Heo clan are held here during the Lantern Festival, Qingming Festival, and Ghost Festival every year, making it a platform for Korean visitors to trace their roots, connect with relatives, and promote friendship between China and Korea.
