The Site of the Representative Conference of Party Members from Suining, Anyue, and Tongnan Counties of the CPC is a cultural heritage site protected by Sichuan Province and a classic red tourism destination.

Yuhuang Temple, Shanzhu Village, Tongxian Town, Anyue County

In the autumn of 1932, an inspector from the Sichuan Provincial Committee of the CPC came to Anyue and convened a representative conference of party members from Suining, Anyue, and Tongnan counties at Yuhuang Temple. Participants included Yao Peng from the Dongxing Branch of Anyue, Zhao the Blacksmith from the Longtai Branch, Wu Gang, Liu Kangzhi, Wang Zixiu, Yuan Zezhi, Wu Chongshi, and other representatives from the Tongxian Branch, as well as party member representatives from Suining and Tongnan. The meeting conveyed the directives of the Provincial Committee, discussed further accelerating the development of rural party organizations, expanding local armed forces, and launching revolutionary struggles. It was decided to establish the Special Branch of the CPC for Suining, Anyue, and Tongnan, with Zhang Yucai appointed as secretary to unify the leadership of party activities in the three counties.

This meeting unified thinking and charted a direction for the subsequent vigorous development of the revolutionary movements in Suining, Anyue, and Tongnan counties, marking a conference of special historical significance.

In 2012, the Site of the Representative Conference of Party Members from Suining, Anyue, and Tongnan Counties of the CPC was announced by the People’s Government of Sichuan Province as part of the eighth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage protection units.
