The Zhou Family Mansion

The Zhou Family Mansion is located in Yinfeng South Road Community, Fangting Subdistrict Office, covering an area of 2,950 square meters. It faces south and features a traditional three-courtyard quadrangle layout, consisting of structures such as the entrance corridor, wing rooms, front courtyard, middle courtyard, rear courtyard, as well as auxiliary and side rooms, with a built-up area of 2,145 square meters. All buildings within the courtyard were constructed during the Republican era. The Zhou Family Mansion was originally built by the Zhou family, a local gentry family in Shifang, descended from Zhou Jiacang. In 1950, the mansion was nationalized and subsequently used by various organizations including the Agricultural Water Station, the County Food Company, and the City Court. It currently stands unoccupied. The Fangting Zhou Family Mansion is the only well-preserved Republican-era residential compound in Shifang’s urban area, maintaining the original layout and architectural style of local residences from that period.
