Shifang Grand Guanyin Temple is a cultural tourism attraction.

The Grand Guanyin Temple is located in Group 8 of Jiantai Village, Yuanshi Town. It was originally built during the Ming Dynasty, and the existing Mahavira Hall was constructed in the 26th year of the Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty (1688). The temple faces west and covers an area of 2,452 square meters, with a building area of 2,200 square meters. There are three existing buildings, namely the Heavenly King Hall, the Guanyin Hall, and the Mahavira Hall, the first two of which are severely damaged but still retain their ancient architectural framework. The third hall, the Mahavira Hall, is relatively well preserved and was funded by Hu Zhihong, the then-county magistrate, in the 26th year of the Kangxi reign (1688). The hall houses calligraphy by Hu Zhihong, a notable historical figure from Shifang, as well as a plaque inscribed with the phrase “Li Wei Bu Er” (The Indivisible) by Ji Dakui from the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty. Additionally, there are two incense tables from the Republican era inside the Mahavira Hall, and three red slogans from the Cultural Revolution period remain on the walls of the Heavenly King Hall. This temple preserves a wealth of historical, cultural, and religious information.
