Shifang City Museum

Shifang City Museum is situated in Shifang Square, spanning around 5,000 square meters. The museum houses four thematic exhibition areas, presenting a panoramic and multi-dimensional display of Shifang's 5,000-year historical and cultural relics. Moreover, it includes a temporary exhibition hall, an academic lecture hall (which also hosts history classes), a cultural exchange center (featuring a calligraphy and painting gallery), and a youth interactive experience space. Since its opening to the public, the museum has welcomed nearly 250,000 visitors and received over 200 scholars and experts from the United States, France, Germany, Spain, South Korea, Japan, Vietnam, as well as from Hong Kong, Taiwan, and mainland China. It serves as a teaching internship base for Archaeology and Cultural Heritage studies at Sichuan University, and is recognized by Deyang City as a "Base for Promoting Ancient Shu Culture" and a "Moral Education Base", as well as a Patriotic Education Base for Youth in Shifang City. In 2009, Shifang Museum was rated as a National Third-Class Museum. In 2016, it received an Excellent rating in Sichuan Province’s Performance Evaluation for Free Admission Museums.
