Ping'an Forest Park

Ping'an Forest Park is located within Shehong County, covering a forested area of over 3,000 mu, and is one of several forest parks in the province. The architectural style respects traditional aesthetic tastes, featuring red walls and green tiles, connected gateways and corridors, uniquely designed pavilions and towers with upturned eaves, all showcasing exquisite craftsmanship, along with numerous stone inscriptions and plaques.

Ping'an Fort Park is lush with trees, providing dense shade. Climbing to the top of the mountain, you can overlook the entire course of the Fu River as it flows through the county town. The surging Fu River reaches this point, forming a massive alluvial flat. After being diverted by the hydroelectric navigation project, the water flow changes direction, splitting into two streams that wind around the city. As the sun sets in the west, the thousands-of-miles-long Fu River resembles a silk ribbon, presenting a truly spectacular view.

The front gate of Ping'an Forest Park is situated near the roundabout at the northern gateway of the county town. From here, you can head south to Chongqing and Fuling, north to Mianyang and Guangyuan, west to Chengdu and Deyang, or east to Nanchong and Wanxian, making it a key transportation hub with an exceptionally prime location. Though not large in size, the entrance gate carries an extraordinary presence.
