Ziyang's Hometown Cultural Tourism Area is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction and a cultural tourism destination.

Ziyang's Hometown Cultural Tourism Area is located in Jinhua Town, Shehong County, a nationally recognized model civilized town. It stretches from Jinhua Hydroelectric Navigation Bridge in the south to the border with Xiangshan Town in the north, and is bounded by the mountain ridges on both sides of the Fujiang River to the east and west, covering a total area of approximately 30 square kilometers. It is currently being developed into a 4A-level scenic spot in line with the county’s tourism plan. Among its highlights is Jinhua Mountain, known as “the peerless scenery under heaven and the foremost mountain on earth.” The mountain is covered with ancient cypresses and dotted with exquisitely crafted pavilions and towers. The front part of the mountain is home to the Jinhua Mountain Taoist Temple, one of the Four Famous Taoist Temples of Sichuan with a history of 1,500 years. The Reading Platform, a national cultural heritage site, is where Chen Ziying, an outstanding poet of the early Tang Dynasty and a literary master, once studied. The platform houses many plaques and couplets, most of which are calligraphic works done by celebrated figures throughout history.

Jinhua boasts relics of an ancient town and remnants of its past as a hub for water and land transport. Scattered around the town and its vicinity are the “Nine Palaces and Eighteen Temples,” attracting countless visitors seeking tranquility and a taste of antiquity. Among them, the Qingjian Industrial Park on Xishanping is a modern agricultural sightseeing destination, while Jinhua Dam on the lake’s heart island is set to become a paradise of clear waters and green islets. The area also offers local delicacies such as the tender yet not greasy “pepper-salted pork knuckle,” the spicy “yellow catfish,” and “Li’s Blood Blossom,” all of which delight guests from near and far.

Geographic Location: Ziyang's Hometown Cultural Tourism Area in Shehong County is situated in the eastern part of Sichuan Province, on the northern edge of Suining City, at the northern fringe of the central Sichuan hilly region, along the middle and western banks of the Fujiang River. It lies between 30°40′ and 31°10′ north latitude, and 105°10′ and 105°39′ east longitude. It is about 20 kilometers southeast of the county seat and borders Santai County to the northwest.
