Shehong Shuanglong Bridge

Shuanglong Bridge is a cultural relics protection unit of Shehong County.

Shuanglong Bridge is located in Sanxikou Village, Qinggang Town, Shehong County. Originally built during the Qing Dynasty, it is a three-arch flat-beam stone bridge stretching from north to south, crossing the Sanxi River, with an area of approximately 200 square meters. The bridge is 10 meters long and 2.5 meters wide. It features two piers constructed layer by layer with strip stones. The upstream ends of the two piers are adorned with two stone-carved dragon heads, facing east and west respectively, with each dragon head extending 1 meter out. Shuanglong Bridge holds certain value for the study of the region’s bridge architectural structures during the Qing Dynasty as well as local transportation conditions. In October 2012, it was newly designated as a county-level cultural relics protection unit and was a new discovery from the Third National Cultural Relics Census.
