Introduction to Guang'an Huaying Mountain Natural Grand Bonsai The Huaying Mountain Natural Grand Bonsai Tourist Area is located in Huaying City, Guang'an, approximately 100 kilometers from Chongqing and over 300 kilometers from Chengdu. It is conveniently accessible via the Guang'an-Chongqing Expressway (Guang'yu) and the Chengdu-Nanchong-Guang'an Expressway (Chengnan'guang), offering excellent transportation links. The scenic area covers a total area of 20 square kilometers, with an average elevation ranging between 1,400 to 1,700 meters, and the highest peak, Gaodeng Mountain, reaches 1,704 meters above sea level. The area lies within a subtropical humid climate zone, with an annual average temperature of 12°C and a peak monthly average around 20°C, resulting in distinct seasons, abundant rainfall, and mild winters and cool summers—making it an ideal destination for leisure vacations and summer retreats. The scenic region was formed by tectonic folding and uplift under the Eastern Sichuan Xinhua system, featuring complex geological structures and ancient rock layers dating back more than 100 million years. The core section exposes carbonate rocks from the Mesozoic Erathem’s second and third systems, which have been eroded into steep mountains and narrow valleys. It shares the same mountain range with Jiuzhaigou, Huanglong Temple, and Yuanwang Cave. The unique karst landform has created numerous landscape features such as caves, grooves, erosional notches, stone pillars, sinkholes, and dolines, offering rich geomorphological tourist resources.
