Xiaran Mountain Tourist Area, located in Zhaoxun Village, Shuanghe Town, Huaying City, is just 3 kilometers from the downtown area, making it very easily accessible. The scenic area boasts not only breathtaking natural landscapes but also splendid cultural attractions. It encompasses invaluable revolutionary martyr sites and profound elements of Southern Song culture, all of which are awe-inspiring and captivating.

The scenic area features numerous natural sights, such as Rhino Foot, Sleeping Lion Peak, Rooster Crown Mountain, Fairy Cave, and Ancient Plank Roads. Its cultural attractions are also unique — the area was once a key site of activity for the “Huaying Mountain Guerrillas” and the legendary “Double-Gunned Granny.” Here stands the ruins of the Xinhua Paper Mill, where underground party members produced large quantities of paper used for the New China Daily and the Masses Weekly, making significant contributions to the propaganda efforts during the Anti-Japanese War and the Liberation War. Today, historical relics such as soaking pits, millstones, and hemp-boiling kilns remain as witnesses to that era.
