The Zhang Side Memorial Hall is a national AAA-level tourist attraction, a classic red tourism site, and a patriotic education base.

The Zhang Side Memorial Hall is situated on Section 1, Chunhui Road, Xinzhen Town, Yilong County. It faces a city road to the east, adjoins the sports stadium to the south, and borders the "Serve the People" Purpose Square to the north. With a beautiful environment and convenient transportation, it lies in the middle of the Sichuan-Shaanxi Red Classic Tourism Route, around 57 kilometers from the former residence of Zhu De. The structure’s design is inspired by Yilong’s cultural element of “seal carving” and the unique natural feature of “Lidui.” These elements combine to form — “The Seal upon Lidui,” resulting in an oval-shaped, radiating architectural form. This symbolic building reflects the integration of humans and nature, showcasing the local cultural characteristics of Yilong. The functional areas of the Zhang Side Memorial Hall are divided into: the Exhibition Area (exhibition halls); the Operational Area (comprehensive storeroom, cultural relics restoration room, academic hall, research hall); and the Administrative Area (offices, meeting rooms, duty room, reception room, security department). The hall covers an area of 50 mu, with exhibition space spanning 1,600 square meters. Its basic exhibition is titled "The Immortal Soul — A Chronicle of Zhang Side’s Life and Deeds."

The exhibition at the Zhang Side Memorial Hall relies on physical artifacts, historical materials, photographs, and group paintings. It is divided into five sections: "Grain Rain Season — Trials in Dark Days," "The Red Star Shines — The Starting Point of a Glorious Journey," "The Long March — Greatness in the Ordinary," "The Immortal Soul — Life Radiating Brilliance," and "Serving the People — The Eternal Spirit of Zhang Side." Through methods such as scene reenactments, physical displays, and illustrated descriptions, the exhibition portrays the life and deeds of Comrade Zhang Side vividly and meaningfully. It presents his ordinary yet honorable life and elucidates the true meaning of "serving the people." The Zhang Side Memorial Hall has been designated as a "Nanchong Municipal Patriotic Education Base" and a "Sichuan Provincial Patriotic Education Base." It is open to the public free of charge year-round, serving as an important venue forcadres, the general public, especially young people, to study ideology and participate in patriotic education.
