Guanganyin Hall in Xichong

Guanganyin Hall is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Sichuan Province.

Guanganyin Hall in Xichong is located in Xichong County. Built during the Qing Dynasty, it consists of a front hall, main hall, and left and right wing rooms forming a quadrangle courtyard structure. It faces southwest and sits northeast, covering an area of 580 square meters. The front hall is three bays wide (13 meters) and 6 meters deep, featuring a post-and-lintel construction with a hip-and-gable roof covered in green tiles. The main hall is a post-and-lintel wooden structure, three bays wide (13 meters) and 10 meters deep, with six rafters and a two-step corridor. The central bay features the Kuixing Tower on the top, a double-eaved square structure with a pyramidal roof. A wooden staircase inside spirals to the top. It has certain reference value for the study of the development and evolution of temple architecture in the Sichuan region.

Protected area: Extending outward from the building’s foundation — 10 meters to the southwest, 10 meters to the northeast, 5 meters to the northwest, and 5 meters to the southeast.

Construction control zone: 25 meters extending out from the protected area boundary.
