Red Qu County Memorial Park

Red Qu County Memorial Park is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

“Red Qu County Memorial Park” is located at the foot of Batai Mountain in Guifu Town, 30 kilometers from the county seat of Qu County. The memorial park was expanded on the basis of the Yingqu Battle Monument and the Soviet Memorial Hall built in 1993. Covering an area of 94,000 square meters, construction began in February 2012, and it was officially completed and opened to the public at the end of 2012.

The memorial park consists of seven main attractions: the entrance plaza, the scenic gate, the national flag platform, the Soviet Square, the Red Culture Memorial Hall, the Battle Stairway, and the Yingqu Battle Monument. Among them, the Red Culture Memorial Hall covers an area of more than 1,500 square meters. Centered around the Yingqu Battle, the hall compiles Qu County’s red cultural resources and is divided into five sections: “Prelude,” “Revolutionary Spark · Spreading Across Qu County,” “Yingqu Battle · Red Regime,” “Joining the National Resistance · Fighting the Japanese Invaders,” and “Longtan Uprising · Welcoming Liberation.” It encompasses the revolutionary journey during the Great Revolution period, the Agrarian Revolutionary period, the Anti-Japanese War period, and the Liberation War period. Through the comprehensive use of historical materials, and presented via sculptural art, calligraphy and paintings, relic displays, and audiovisual documentation, the hall vividly and in detail showcases the glorious history and social impact of Red Qu County, providing visitors with a place for remembrance and reverence.

Within the memorial park, the 19.3-meter-tall Yingqu Battle Monument stands atop the steep and majestic Batai Mountain. The inscription “Yingqu Battle Monument” was written by General Wei Chuantong. The monument also features inscriptions of quotes by - and - dedicated to the Sichuan-Shaanxi Revolutionary Base, as well as the names of nearly a thousand martyrs.

Since its opening, “Red Qu County Memorial Park” has actively played a role in patriotic education and publicity. In cooperation with relevant departments, it has organized various patriotic education activities during holidays such as “Qingming” and “Youth Day,” receiving over 30,000 visitors including tourists, students, and cadres. These activities have inspired the patriotic enthusiasm of the public, especially the youth, achieving positive social impact.

In accordance with the regulations for the establishment and management of patriotic education bases in Dazhou City, relevant departments in Dazhou carefully reviewed the application materials for Red Qu County Memorial Park. After assessment and acceptance, “Red Qu County Memorial Park” has met the standards of a municipal-level patriotic education base, and it has been designated as a Dazhou Municipal Patriotic Education Base and awarded an official plaque.
