Quxian History Museum

Established in January 1986, the Quxian History Museum operates jointly with the Quxian Cultural Relics Management Office under a “two signs, one team” arrangement. It is a comprehensive local museum primarily dedicated to the collection, preservation, exhibition, scientific research, and social education of historical artifacts. After more than 30 years of development, the Quxian History Museum has grown into a comprehensive local museum with 16 staff members, internal departments including the office, business department, free access management department, and security division. It covers an area of 5,711 m², with a building area of 2,100 m², and houses a collection of 3,236 cultural relics/sets. In 2000, it was designated as a municipal-level patriotic education base. In 2009, it was included in the second batch of nationally designated free-access museums; in 2013, it was rated and announced as a National Third-Class Museum.

Opening Hours Monday to Sunday. Spring/Summer hours: 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM, 2:30 PM – 8:00 PM; Autumn/Winter hours: 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM, 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM. Fixed closure days: Fridays and Lunar New Year’s Eve (also closed on Mondays during New Year’s Day, Spring Festival, Labor Day, and National Day holidays).
