Yuquan Mountain Scenic Area is located in the northeastern part of Wanyuan, about fifteen kilometers from Wanyuan City. The area features overlapping peaks, lush greenery, clear streams, pristine mountains, mysterious caves, and breathtaking landscapes. It combines canyons, peculiar peaks, flocks of eagles, waterfalls, fish springs, karst caves, and the Divine Dragon Temple. Here, you can pay homage to the Dragon Temple in the east, admire the majestic lion in the west, explore the karst caves in the south, and appreciate the cliff paintings in the north. In spring, you can enjoy the mountain flowers; in summer, escape the heat; in autumn, admire the red leaves; and in winter, take in the snowy scenery. From Lianghekou to Yuquan Mountain, stretching from south to north, it is known as the “Ten-Mile Gallery,” renowned beyond the mountains and attracting visitors from all directions. Yuquan Mountain boasts eight major attractions: the Fish Spring, where a large number of silvery Yang Fish often emerge from the cave, creating a spectacular sight. A rare delicacy called “water ear” also grows in the spring, highly praised by all who taste it; the Azure Dragon Cave, unfathomably deep; the White Dragon Cave, known as the “World Museum of Stalactites”; the Fairy Stone and the Two Immortals Shrine, which bear witness to the relentless passage of time and embody the heartfelt wishes of the people; the Mysterious Ancestor Hall, where Red Army generals planned their strategies during the Wanyuan Defense Battle, leading to victories far and wide; the Elephant Trunk Mountain, vividly shaped and endearingly clumsy; and the Divine Lion Gorge, which from afar resembles a fierce lion descending the mountain and up close looks like a majestic lion on the hunt, diligently guarding the entrance to the scenic area.
